.RTI will continue to be a major initiative for the 2009-2010 School Year.  Please reflect on the implementation of AR at your campus and ask yourself, "Are we implementing AR with fidelity to the program design?"
"...AR fits perfectly into RTI because it provides the personalized practice and progress monitoring for students.
Tier I-Using progress monitoring data from varied AR quiz types differentiated learning can be implemented.
Tiers 2 & 3-AR can be used to help struggling readers experience success in reading by reading books that are neither too easy nor too difficult.  And through AR, students that need a specific reading intervention or specially designed instruction can be identified more quickly..."

.On June 17, 2009, the School Board approved the awarding of the Library Book Replacement Plan Bids to Follett for the Secondary Campuses and to Mackin for the Elementary Campuses.
Mrs. K. Mendoza will submit the purchase orders with your campus specific specifications on your behalf with a "do not exceed statement...."
Your 2 year allocation (for some campuses the 5 year allocation) will determine your do no exceed level.
Due to the reduced costs of the books, you may be asked to submit additional lists. Ms. Mendoza will contact you as needed.
We are anxiously awaiting $1,061,616.80 worth of books!

.On June 15, 2009, the Year in Review Library Data that was presented to the principals was emailed to you.  Please reference the data as you plan for the 2009-10 school year.

.Request Copyright Posters as needed from Mrs. Lopez.  Posters are to be placed in workrooms, in offices where copiers are located and in the library.  Each new teacher that attends your copyright training will need to receive a poster.
